In taking a holistic approach, we strive to improve the lives of rural communities by tackling poverty and environmental damage through the creation of ecosystem restoration camps. Through connecting communities with green volunteers, our team aims to help them create a sustainable future through indigenous knowledge and cutting-edge ecological designs. By restoring ecosystems, we can fight back against climate change, inequality and conflict.
Care for people & the planet and fair share form the heart of our principles and practice. We envision green, self-sufficient, resilient communities that can come together to create the kind of change they want to see. We envisage communities that can produce food and other vital for their survival resources in a sustainable way by making the most of potential renewable resources. We visualize a better greener future with restored watersheds, reforestation, and increased biodiversity.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER
Our first Ecosystem Restoration Camp called Camp Dryland Solutions will be established in Garowe, Somalia. We are preparing to train the trainers in Egypt in cooperation with SEKEM. After the training, we will actively work on restoring the surrounding ecosystem through establishing rainwater-harvesting systems, implementing soil restoration practices, enhance moisture retention in soil, and establishing plant nurseries to re-plant the denuded area.
